Thulakot is a very tranquil and beautiful spot for sunrise and well recognized by a name of Kalika. This spot has an excellent panoramic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu Range with various peaks located in these ranges. Upon reaching to the top hill of Thulakot, you can enjoy looking at more than 10 peaks but most importantly you can glimpse of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu which has the height more than 8000M.Although Fishtail has 6993m high but appear like the highest amongst them.
Thulakot falls in the Royal Trek region of Pokhara. Royal Trek was named after Prince Charles of United Kingdom who had trekked in this region 30 years ago.
Apart from mountains,we can also view Fewa lake and Begnas, Maidi, Dipang, Gude, Nureni and Khaste Lakes.Although other lakes besides Begnas, Fewa are not so popular as the sizes are diminishing from the past. Many villages of the hilly region like Majhathana, Khilang, Siklesh and villages of Lamjung could also be seen from this region. Thulakot also carries a historic importance as it was one of the kingdom of Chubise (twenty four) kingdom of Kaski.
